The Managing Director of Foresight Success Ltd, (Ide Global,) Fwdr. Azubuike Ekweozor has emerged as Winner of the Chairmanship election of National Association of Government Approved Freight Fowarders ( NAGAFF), Tin Can Island Port Chapter for the 2nd term.
High Chief Ekweozor who polled 258 votes to defeat his opponent, Fwdr. Kenneth Okoro who got 222 votes in a keenly contested NAGAFF Tin Can Chapter elections at the national headquarters of NAGAFF, the election was widely applaud by Voters as peaceful and orderly.
According to an eye witness who pleaded animosity” Ekweozor has help so man, he registered so many members and paid for their registrations, he deserves a second term.
Others winners of elections to other offices includes: Ken Iyoha, Vice Chairman; Godfrey Emeka Nwosu. Secretary; Philip Okonkwo, Assistant Secretary; Ifeanyi Emoh, Financial Secretary; Okwudili Onwudinjo, Treasurer; Stanley Ejiogu, PRO; Welfare Officer, Ebere Ojeogu; Patric Anadi, Inspectorate and Intelligent Officer; Chiedozie Emeka, Customs Freight forwarder Relations Officer; Martins Duru, Ethics Complaint and Discipline.
In his brief remarks, the Board of Trustee Chairman of NAGAFF, Chief Chidiebere Enyelema, described the exercise as a hot contest, he Commended the NAGAFF Electoral Commission for a job well done and the members for their patience while urging those who lost in the election not to be discourage but work harder toward the next elections.
Speaking also, the Founder of Nagaff, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam expressed satisfaction with the conduct and outcome of the Tin Can Nagaff Chapter elections, saying the partern of the election shows there is hope for Nigeria.
Dr Aniebonam asked those who won in the elections to brace up for more responsibility, pointing out that as leaders, they must be tolerable, patient, command respect, make the welfare of their followers their priority and advised the members of the chapter shun violence, work together as one family and be their brothers keeper.
