Alhaji Hassan Saleh originally hail from Yamaltu Deba local government area of Gombe State but live all his life in Jos plateau state.
Saleh Hassan during his life time held many prominent positions one of which was the national chairman of GNPP in the 2nd republic.
Alhaji saleh Hassan died at the age of 82 years in Jos plateau state. As a sign of love and brotherhood, Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo Talban Gombe today pay a condoles visit to the family of the late elderstatesman in his residence at Gangare Jos.
The Gombe State Governor also extended his condolences to the Governor of plateau state, at the government house, where he thanked the good people of plateau state for accommodating peace loving people that truly accepted them as one of their own, he described the late octogenarian as a true democrat, who play vital roles in what is now Nigeria of today, “Alhaji Saleh Jos was a good father to me Hassan Dankwambo and many Nigerians like me as well as good friend to many of us”.
The governor said he has lost a father in Alhaji Saleh Hassan Jos, “his passage is a great lost to me personally”, the governor prayed for the reposed of his soul in aljannat fiddausi and almighty Allah give his family the fortitude to bear the lost Ameen.
The eldest son Alhaji Ibrahim saleh thanked Governor Dankwambo on behalf of the family, stating that Governor Dankwambo deserves to be consoled too because Alhaji Saleh Hassan is also his father, according to Alhaji Ibrahim Saleh, Governor Dankwambo Talban Gombe has done very well to his late father Alhaji saleh Hassan Jos through out the period of his on an off illness, it was Dankwambo that is shouldering medication and other responsibilities throughout, Governor Dankwambo took over all the responsibilities of our family, he is fully part of us any time we ask him, anything we need regarding his health the governor was always there. We prayed that almighty God to give him what he want in this life and paradise in here after.
