The Ondo State Police Command has paraded ten suspects including two teenagers who are students of Oroke High School, Akungba Akoko for their alleged involvement in cultism.

Parading the suspects before newsmen at the Police Headquarters in Akure, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Gbenga Adeyanju said the two teenagers Sodiq Jimoh 17 and Wasiu Raji 14year old, were said to be part of cultists terrorising Akungba Community and its environs.

Mr Adeyanju said three other suspected cultists Peter Yoyiho, Jimoh Taiwo and Daramola Temitope who confessed to members of Aye Confraternity were equally arrested in Akungba Akoko.

The Command also paraded a fifty-one-year-old taxi driver, Oluwasanmi Mayowa who stole and sold his brother’s car in Lokoja, Kogi state, but pretended that the vehicle was snatched from him at gunpoint near Igbara-oke.

The Police Commissioner said after a thorough interrogation, Mayowa later confessed to the crime with three other accomplices including three mechanics in Lokoja, Niyi Akintoye, Tunde John and Olaoke Paul who assisted in selling the car for One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira.

All the suspects will be charged to court after the conclusion of police investigations.
