Hon. Kehinde Fasoranti who has declared his intention to run for the Akure South Constituency I, Ondo State House of Assembly under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state has reeled out some of his plans which majorly centers on sustainable development.
Speaking with Ebony Herald International Magazine in Akure, Hon. Fasoranti noted that his intention to run for the position is primarily based on his interest to contribute his own quota at the grassroots.
According to him, grassroots politics is authentic politics that affords a politician the opportunity to have a direct impact on his people.
His words: “If you do not agree with the government of the day, the best thing to do in order to influence policies is to be a part of the system. If you think they are not doing it right, why don’t you step in and contribute your own quota?
“If I am elected, I will embark on sustainable change in the area of healthcare, education and even job creation. We will look for ways to develop our youths and I am looking at the possibility of coming up with a mini phone manufacturing company. We will collaborate with FUTA, FECA and build ranches so that we can have our own cows”, he added.
While also noting that a lot of people now see the different political parties as the same as most of their key players keep cross carpeting, he enjoined the people to vote for candidates based on their integrity and not just based on their party affiliation.
Pharmacist Fasoranti while commending the Akeredolu led government for what it has been able to do further enjoined the government not to frustrate small business owners in the name of generating IGR but should rather explore the possibilities of releasing funds and giving tax holidays to SMEs so that lots of them can continue to provide employment opportunities for the teeming youths
