The two Action Alliance Lawmakers in the Federal House of Representatives on Thursday defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC)
They cited irreconciliatory differences in the Action Alliance in Imo State and other issues as reasons for their defection.
There was jubilation in the House as the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila read the defection letter during plenary that hon. Kingsley Chima representing Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta/Oru-West federal constituency and Hon. Pascal Chidozie representing Ideato North/South federal constituency of Imo State have defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress.
The defected lawmakers were flanked by their All Progressive Congress colleagues as they sighted irreconciliable differences and factionalisation as well as the need to serve their party in a stronger capacity as reasons for their defection.
The defection has so far strengthened the number of the ruling All Progressive Congress in the green chamber.
