The Catholic Bishop of Ekiti diocese, His Lordship, Felix Femi Ajakaiye has advised the Ekiti State Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi to rather see his 2nd term in office as a grace of God and not for vengeance .
His Lordship gave the advise at a Thanksgiving service held at St. Patrick Cathedral, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State to usher- in the new government . He however charged the governor and his cabinet members to always see the position in government as a grace of God.
His words: ” Four years in office will soon be like yesterday and as such, any responsible government officials should know that position commence the day he/ or she assumed that position and he will surely account for his performance before God and men”.
Bishop Ajakaiye who further acknowledged the fact that Dr Kayode Fayemi is a child of God, urged him to display it in his appointments and implementation of the state government policies while also calling on everyone to go and get their Permanent Voter’s Card as the 2019 general election draws nearer.
“It’s through collection of our PVC’s that will guarantee the change of good government that we all are yelling for and that will metamorphosize into good society of our desire “, Bishop Ajakaiye added just as he admonished everyone to be proud of the country wherever we find themselves order than be discouraged by acts of corruption of Nigerian leaders or be deterred by language, ethical and culture barriers.
