A Senatorial hopeful for Ondo Central senatorial district, Prince Afolabi Obasuyi has called on Nigerians irrespective of tribe to see fighting insecurity, a major barrier to National growth as a collective responsibility for both the government and the general public.
Prince Obasuyi made the call at the event marking 2018 Democracy day celebration in Nigeria.
He noted that government alone cannot curb the menace of insecurity without the support of people being each others keeper and living in peace and love with one another irrespective of religious and ethnic differences.
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration’s effort at putting an end to insurgency in the country so far and urge government to do more by providing mordern weapons to every security agencies in the country.
The Senatorial hopeful who expresses confident in the electoral process emphasized that he believed he will emerge as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC ahead of the 2019 election.
He also use the medium to appeal to leadersship of the APC to sustain internal democracy within the party to avoid loopholes which could be dangerous to the victory of the ruling party in the forthcoming general elections.
Prince Obasuyi also advised Nigerians to remain steadfast and continually pray for the leadership of the country for divine guidance and direction in order to steer the wheel of progress of the nation in the right path in the interest of the masses.
Obasuyi thanked the people of Ondo Central Senatorial district comprising Akure South, Akure North, Ondo East, Ondo West, Idanre and Ifedore for their love and support for his dreams of providing them good representations and urge them to remain committed to their beliefs in him.
