Ondo Exco approves Amotekun Bill, gives Monarchs roles

The Ondo state Executive Council today approved a draft bill of the Southwest Security outfit, codenamed “Operation Amotekun” and now ready to be transmitted to the state House of Assembly for passage.

According to the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo as well as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kola Olawoye (SAN), the draft bill will take of many issues around Operation Amotekun.

They disclosed this to newsmen few minutes ago while briefing on the outcome of the State Executive Council’s meeting held today in Akure.

The bill has 6 parts and 44sections while traditional rulers will now have roles to play in the operation of the security outfit.
