The President Muhammadu Buhari Continuity Network (PMBCN), a nationwide political group, has call on all Nigerians to give support for the re-election of the president for the continuity of his good governance.
The group made the call at the roundtable of its national stakeholders meeting held on Tuesday in Abuja and the forum attracted representatives across the six political zones in Nigeria.
Mr Peter Osadebay, the national Chairman of PMBCN in his opening remark appreciated members from across the nation who came to represent their different states.
Osadebay expressed hope that with their responses, there would be massive campaign to enlighten the public on the need to re-elect Mr President considering his past record.
He, however, expressed displeasure over the political misunderstanding among the political leaders in National Assembly which according to him could destabilise the country’s political development.
While urging PMBCN members to work hard for 2019 election, he therefore, called on Nigerians to overlook the political rancor and focus on the re-election of President Buhari.
Also speaking, Amb. Kabiru Ilyasu, National Board Chairman of PMBCN stated that the meeting was for the forum to rededicate members to work harder to give Nigerians the much desired opportunities for the re-election of Mr President.
“We must create more opportunities to our members to share their experiences, we have to live up to our responsibilities in terms of mobilization in order to restore more prosperity and promote the cause of democracy.
“Today is not just the day to celebrate our togetherness, our strategy is to make sure that President Buhari win the coming presidential election in 2019, “ he said.
While commending the efforts of the national chairman for his nationwide coordination, Amb. Ilyasu tasked members on the need to reach out to the grassroots with the message of “Hope for a Better Future. “
‘’Our collaboration is not meant to dislodge anybody, but rather to encourage Nigerians to be one another’s keeper.
‘’As PMBCN members, we have to realize that we should validate ourselves and our experiences through collective work with compassion and love to re-elect the president, ‘’ he said.
On his own contribution, Mr Nnaedozie Valentine, BOT Enugu State, commended the president for the ongoing construction works on the second Niger bridge, Enugu-Onitsha express way and Enugu Port Harcourt expressway.
Valentine added that the president deserve second term in office to continue with his good governance.
‘’I am assuring you that we at the East will give massive support to the president to ensure his continuity in 2019,’’ he said.
Mrs Maureen Okoro, Women Leader in her comment said the women wing of PMBCN had already begun its campaign for 2019 re-election of Mr President.
Okoro reiterated that the group’s decision was based on recognition of the laudable achievements of the president and the empowerment of women across the country on various vocations in the last three years of the administration.
Okoro, however, decried inability of some rural women in some region of the country who were unable to get their voter cards due to some logistics issues.
The PMBCN’s women leader therefore, called on INEC to give women special preference at the ongoing Permanent Voter Cards registration.
Also at the meeting was Chief Ezekiel Afunkoyo, the Grand Patron of PMBCN who appealed to members of the President Muhammadu Buhari Continuity network to remain committed to the group, he went memory Lane on how he and others work tirelessly to secure victory for President Buhari in 2015. He thanked all members for their resilience and selfless efforts.
