Ondo State house of assembly closed abruptly today due to appearance of some snakes in offices and some falling from the hallow chamber’s ceiling on the Speaker, Rt Hon Bamidele Oleyelogun and other lawmakers during the plenary today.

We gathered that the deplorable condition of the facilities at the complex, create rooms for snakes to gain easy access to lawmakers’ offices and the Hallow chamber. On Wednesday afternoon, a mysterious snake in one of the offices caused mild drama and apprehension at the Assembly complex when it pursued a lawmaker out of his office.

A staff of the assembly who chose to be anonimous told our correspondent that  three snakes fell from the Chamber’s roof when the sitting was about to commence today and this made all the lawmakers to run for their lives.

“One of the snakes dropped in front of the Speaker, the snakes escaped from the scene, some of the lawmakers were shaking as if they want to die.”

The Speaker however declared that the house should proceed on indefinite recess as their security could not be guaranteed as a result of the ugly development.
