Civil servants in Ondo State this morning despite heavy downpour trouped out in their hundreds to protest against the non transparent manner in which Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is handling the disbursement of Paris Club bail out fund from the federal government.
According to the leader of the protesting workers Comrade Oloniyo, “the state Government has not done well at all, the bail out is meant to clear the arears of civil servant salaries but the reverse is the case, we want the governor to tell us how much the state received from the Federal Government and how they plan to spend it”.
Speaking to Ebony Herald International another group of labour leaders led by Comrade Omoborowa, condemned the way and manner the Government spent the previous bailout from Federal government, Omoborowa called on Ondo State Government to use the money for what it is meant for and not to divert it to other areas that are less important. “Our salaries should be treated with utmost priority “. he said.

The protesting workers started from Governors office through CBN to Auditor General office to the Government house at Oke Eda singing solidarity songs.
