A group of Nigerians in Diaspora has called on Ekiti people to consider the candidature of Bisi Omoyeni in the coming governorship election in the state.
The call was made by one of the leaders of Yorubas in the United Kingdom, Prince Moses Adebayo Adeleke Friday evening at the meeting of Yorubas in the UK.
Adeleke who said in the face of continual crises between the APC and PDP which does not project the Yoruba race in good light, “as son’s of Oduduwa, we believe this will not do the Yoruba race any good. It is our sincere advice that Ekiti people should have a taste of a different party with a man like Omoyeni with deep knowledge and experience in financial management, the better for Ekiti and Yoruba nation.
Prince Adebayo stressed “We are not here to campaign for any political party but we want peace and development for all the Yoruba States because we believe it is when we have peace that we can enjoy the dividends of democracy”.
He stated further that it has happened before in Lagos when some political party and Politicians (Agbalajobi and Sarumi) were at each others throats, this gave room for Chief Michael Otedola, a business mogul and industrialist, whose tenure turned around the fortune of Lagos State upon which subsequent governments have continue to build upon till today”, he restated.
