Sokoto State Governor Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has commended the developmental strides of his fellow State Counterpart, Gov Ibraham Hassan Dankwambo. He made the commendation on Saturday while declaring open the multipurpose international conference centre in Gombe, the state capital. Gov Tambuwal, observed that despite the fact Gombe received the lowest monthly allocation from the federation account, Gov Dankwambo Talban Gombe has demonstrated uncommon managerial ingenuity in embarking on numerous developmental projects that have positively impacted on the lives of the people.
He noted in particular that Dakwambo had constructed 1780 kilometers of roads in urban and rural areas, as well as 700 blocks of classrooms, among other strides that have brought tremendous developments to the state. He acknowledged with nolstagia, that he was in Gombe to flag off the construction of the International Conference Centre during his tenure as the Speaker of the House of Representatives. He described the Centre which is equipped with advanced technological gadgets, as a master piece, which he said is the best in Nigeria, even better than that in Abuja. A new road was named after the Sokoto State Governor as Aminu Tambuwal street in Gombe metropolis.
