Akure, Jan. 17,2017(NAN) The 32 Artillery Brigade of Nigerian Army, Owena Cantonment in Ondo State said it has recovered 63 Bags of Indian Hemp, 23 expended cartridges and nine unused cartridges from notorious Indian Hemp gang in a forest in Owo Local Government Area of the state.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Akure by Capt. Ojo Adenegan, the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations of the cantonment.
Adelegan said that the operation was as a result of a tip of information on the criminal activities of the notorious gang in a hideout in the forest.
He noted that during the operation there was exchange of fire between troop and the criminals who later fled as a result of fire power against them.

“The troop recovered 63 Bags of Indian Hemp, 23 expended cartridges and nine unused cartridges,”he said.
Adelegan, therefore, called on general public to always avail the security agencies useful information on any criminal or act of criminality in the State.
He also warn criminals to stay away from the State “as there is no room for any illegality and criminal minded persons in the State.
